'Mistrot 2' Kim Da-hyun Files Fraud and Embezzlement Charges Against Former Agency... "Unpaid Settlement Amount"

Teen trot singer Kim Da-hyun (17) has taken legal action against her former agency for failing to pay her settlement amounts, including appearance fees.

On the 4th, Kim Da-hyun's agency, Hyun Company, announced that Kim Da-hyun's side had filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul earlier this month against former agency representative Mr. A and parent company representative Mr. B for fraud and embezzlement. They also reported that they applied for a payment order for the unpaid settlement amount at the Seoul Central District Court at the end of last month.

According to Hyun Company, the former agency has not paid Kim Da-hyun's appearance fees and various event profits since September to October of last year. The amount Kim Da-hyun has not received is said to be in the hundreds of millions of won.

The agency stated, "We requested settlement from the former agency several times since November of last year, but payment has not been made, and it is difficult to expect amicable negotiations," adding, "We had no choice but to take legal action to protect the mental stability and rights of a teenage artist."

Kim Da-hyun began to gain attention after winning the Grand Prize at the 2019 〈KBS Pansori Children's King of Kings Competition〉. She subsequently appeared in major trot competition programs such as 〈TV Chosun Voice Trot〉 and 〈Tomorrow is Miss Trot 2〉, building her public recognition.

Kim Da-hyun, who also performed as the 'Cheonghakdong Traditional Music Sisters' with her sister Kim Do-hyun, began her full-fledged solo activities in 2020 and moved to Hyun Company in November of last year.

Meanwhile, the former agency has not yet released an official statement, and attention is focused on how the legal proceedings will unfold in the future.
