The 'little giant' Kim Soo-cheol, who has traversed through popular music, traditional Korean music, and film scores, has declared a shocking transformation as a painter.

For over 30 years, he has secretly held a brush and completed more than 1,000 works. From the 14th, he will hold his first solo exhibition 'Kim Soo-cheol: Sound Painting' at the Hangaram Design Museum of the Arts Center. This exhibition is the first opportunity to publicly reveal his inner world, which he has meticulously built up like a diary.

Kim Soo-cheol reflected on the intense process of his work, revealing his artistic spirit. He stated, "I am not the type to blame the environment" and added, "I even injured myself bending my body to create an angle to paint on a two-pyeong narrow space." He continued, "Even when my body hurt, I only thought about getting better quickly so I could paint again."

Since his debut in 1977, he has left behind numerous hit songs such as 'A Flower That Has Not Bloomed' and 'Young You', and recently reminisced about his special connection with the late Ahn Sung-ki, expressing deep nostalgia.

Kim Soo-cheol recalled, "I followed Sung-ki hyung and built good memories while filming the movie 'Whale Hunting', and I also received financial help during my traditional music work." He then expressed, "He left without knowing that I was painting, and I feel regret thinking how wonderful it would have been if he had seen this exhibition."
