Seoul Becomes a 'BTS Theme Park'... 'BTS The City Arirang Seoul' Opens on March 20

In celebration of the release of BTS's fifth studio album, all of Seoul will be transformed into a large-scale cultural festival space.

Big Hit Music announced on the 6th that from March 20, the release date of BTS's fifth studio album 'Arirang' (ARIRANG), until April 12, 'BTS The City Arirang Seoul' (BTS THE CITY ARIRANG SEOUL) will be held at major locations throughout Seoul.

This event will focus on experiential content that combines music and media, featuring installations that harmonize with Seoul's urban landscape.

On the day of the album release, media facades will be displayed at major landmarks in downtown Seoul, including Sungnyemun and Seoul Tower. In particular, the plan is to incorporate cutting-edge media facade technology into traditional cultural heritage sites like Sungnyemun, creating a symbolic moment where Korea's tradition and modernity coexist. This strategy aims to promote the value of Korean cultural heritage on a global stage.

At Yeouido Han River Park, a lounge program will be set up from March 20 to 22, where visitors can enjoy BTS's music together. In April, various stone walls, stairs, and tree-lined streets throughout downtown Seoul will transform into exhibition spaces that reinterpret BTS song lyrics through light and video.

A representative from Big Hit Music explained, "During the 'The City Arirang Seoul' period, we have structured the program in close collaboration with the Seoul city government so that tourists and citizens visiting Seoul can experience culture and art in new ways and enjoy BTS's comeback in various aspects."

Additionally, partnership events linked to various industries such as food and beverage (F&B) and mobility will also take place. Detailed schedules and program information for 'The City Arirang Seoul' will be released sequentially through the fan platform Weverse.

Furthermore, 'BTS The City Arirang' plans to expand from Seoul to major cities around the world.
