The legendary British hard rock band Deep Purple will take the stage in Korea for the first time in 16 years.
Concert planning company We Are Alive announced on the 13th that Deep Purple will hold a concert in Korea on April 18 at 7 PM at Paradise City Culture Park in Yeongjongdo, Incheon. This will be Deep Purple's first concert in Korea since 2010, marking a 16-year gap.
Since its formation in 1968, Deep Purple has been active for over half a century. With classic albums like 'Deep Purple in Rock' and 'Machine Head', and their upcoming 23rd studio album '=1' in 2024, they have sold over 100 million records. With timeless hits like 'Smoke on the Water', 'Highway Star', and 'Soldier of Fortune', they have established themselves as legends of hard rock and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the highest honor in popular music.
The current lineup includes Ian Gillan (vocals), Roger Glover (bass), and Ian Paice (drums).
The organizers stated, "Deep Purple, which has left a unique musical legacy across generations, is set to impress Korean fans once again with the timeless dignity of a master and overwhelming sound during this concert."
