The full details of the terrifying shooting incident that global pop star ‘Rihanna’ (real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) experienced at her home have finally come to light.

According to court documents obtained by the New York Times (NYT) on the 13th (local time), the incident took place at ‘Beverly Hills’, Los Angeles (LA), California, at the home of the Rihanna couple. Around 1 p.m. on a peaceful Sunday afternoon, a sudden, unannounced barrage of gunfire was fired at the couple resting in a trailer parked in the driveway.

The scene was horrifying. Immediately after more than ten sharp metal cracks rang out, ‘Rihanna’, who pulled back the vehicle’s curtain as soon as the sound stopped, witnessed bullet holes clearly piercing the front windshield.

Sensing how serious the situation was, she reportedly shoved her husband ‘A$AP Rocky’, who had been asleep in the trailer bed, hard to the floor and shouted, “Someone is shooting at us.” The couple immediately evacuated to the inside of the home where their three children were staying. At the time, the house also had their children aged 3, 2, and 5 months old, along with the mother, nanny, and housekeeper. Thankfully, thanks to their quick response, no injuries occurred.

Police forensic results were shocking. Not only were there multiple traces of bullets in the trailer, but the front entry door of the home and even the wooden fence showed many bullet marks—down to “the outer walls outside the rooms of the children”.

According to the police investigation, the shooter was identified as 35-year-old woman ‘Ivana Rizet Ortiz’. Investigators said she fired the ‘AR-15 rifle’, a military assault weapon, at Rihanna’s home as many as more than 20 times. There were indications of stalking and threats of murder in the past via social media (SNS), but no direct connection to this incident was confirmed.

Ortiz denied it immediately after being arrested, saying, “I had no intention to kill,” but prosecutors, considering the extreme severity of the case, charged her on the spot with ‘attempted murder’ and related offenses.
