Professor Jeong Il-young and editor Park Hye-eun wrapped up a GV that left a lasting impression from 〈48 Hours of a Paris Deliveryman〉.
Ahead of its June 17 release, the film 〈48 Hours of a Paris Deliveryman〉 held a premiere screening and a CineTalk GV on June 14. The session was joined by Professor Jeong Il-young, who has lived in France for 10 years and earned a Ph.D. in linguistics at Paris’ 8th University, along with editor Park Hye-eun of The Screen.
In 〈48 Hours of a Paris Deliveryman〉, a refugee applicant named Souleymane, surviving as a food delivery rider in Paris, faces an intense two-day stretch as he prepares for an asylum review looming just days away—leaving a deep impression on audiences. Professor Jeong Il-young said, “France has long been a society that pursued the value of equality, but recently that value has been shaken. One of them is the issue of illegal residents.” He also added that by reciting the film’s final lines in French—“we need to meet more films like 〈48 Hours of a Paris Deliveryman〉, which leave audiences with questions and something to think about.”
〈48 Hours of a Paris Deliveryman〉, which meets Korean audiences on June 17, 2026, won the 77th Cannes International Film Festival’s Attention-Grabbing Views Jury Award and Best Actor.
