A melody that defies time, an immortal masterpiece returns

Korea’s proud original musical productions, 'Gwanghwamun Yeonga', opens its fifth run at Seoul’s D Cube Link Art Center on September 6. This jukebox musical, crafted from the immortal hits of the late composer 'Lee Young-hoon', vividly charts a dense, spellbinding time journey led by composer 'Myeong-u', standing at the threshold of death, and the mysterious guide 'Wolha'.

This season draws heightened anticipation from critics thanks to an ideal casting where bold choices and seasoned experience intersect. 'Lee Seok-hoon', joining as 'Myeong-u' alongside 'Son Jun-ho', previously raised his stature as the lead in 'Wolha' and now signals a dramatic transformation in performance. The role of 'Wolha', which grips and shakes the bones of the plot, puts an unmistakable icon, 'Cha Ji-yeon', at the front, with 'Enoch' and 'Seo Eun-gwang' rounding out the cast to deliver overwhelming stage command. 'Ryu Seung-joo' and 'Sunye' take on 'Soo-a', the character’s wistful first love, adding depth to the story. Watch for the overwhelming catharsis that the power of hit songs spanning generations and a flawless lineup will create.
