Citing AP News on the 3rd (local time), the distributor 'Sony Pictures' said it has officially tallied that 'Spider-Man 4''s first-weekend opening in North America (July 30 to Aug. 2) generated $360 million. That surpasses the all-time high set by 'Avengers: Endgame' in 2019, which totaled $357 million. Even the estimate of $355 million that the market and 'Sony Pictures' had initially predicted was easily blown past, proving the film's explosive ability to draw audiences.

The response from overseas markets is even stronger. Outside North America, international theaters also raked in $932 million in just its first weekend. Particularly, major countries worldwide—from Europe and South America to the Middle East, including France, India, Brazil, and Spain—set new all-time opening records. Pre-sales performance is also at an unprecedented level. Deadline, a U.S. entertainment outlet, reported that the film's pre-release ticket sales brought in $150 million and its preview screenings generated $72 million—both record highs.
