Artist’s recovery comes first… Team begins rescheduling remaining tour dates
A series of major North American tour dates has been postponed after Megan, a member of global girl group KATSEYE, was diagnosed with a concussion.
KATSEYE’s team announced on the group’s official social media accounts on the 6th, “Megan is recovering from a concussion, and based on the medical team’s assessment, we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone the Chicago and Minneapolis shows.” The statement added, “We sincerely apologize to the fans who were looking forward to the shows for disappointing you.”
The group’s label added, “We fully understand how much fans have been looking forward to this tour and that many have traveled from far away to attend the shows,” expressing its deep regret.
KATSEYE was scheduled to perform on its headlining world tour, WILDWORLD, on Nov. 5 (local time) at Chicago’s United Center and on Nov. 7 at Minneapolis’ Target Center. But after determining that Megan’s sudden health issue would make it difficult for her to perform, the group opted to adjust the schedule to ensure the safety of fans and the artist.
Earlier, KATSEYE also postponed its Nov. 3 concert at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena because of Megan’s injury, announcing the change just 30 minutes before the show was due to begin. With the latest changes, shows in three key North American cities—Detroit, Chicago and Minneapolis—have been postponed.
The group’s team added, “We’ll announce the rescheduled tour dates as soon as they’re confirmed. We look forward to seeing fans in both cities again when we’re healthy. Thank you to our fans for your understanding and warm support.”
