Artist health scare during global tour; recovery takes priority

HYBE global girl group KATSEYE postponed its Detroit show on the day of the performance after member Megan suddenly fell ill.

On the 4th, KATSEYE’s agency issued a statement on its official social media accounts, saying, “We’re sorry to announce that tonight’s show at Little Caesars Arena has been postponed.” The agency explained, “Megan is feeling unwell and will be unable to perform. Our top priority is to ensure the artist has ample time to rest and recover.”

KATSEYE had been scheduled to perform on its THE WILDWORLD TOUR at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit at 8 p.m. local time on the 3rd. But the group announced the postponement just 30 minutes before the show was set to begin, disappointing fans who had come to the venue.

The agency added, “We know many of you traveled a long way, made plans and looked forward to tonight’s show. The members are also deeply disappointed that they won’t be able to meet fans in person. We sincerely apologize for the unexpected inconvenience.”

Meanwhile, KATSEYE, which has been active on the global stage, is set to meet its fans in South Korea with its first solo concert there on Feb. 4 next year at KSPO Dome in Seoul’s Olympic Park. Megan’s recovery is expected to be a key factor in the group’s upcoming tour schedule.
