Son Ye-jin and Jo Yu-ri Confirmed to Star in Netflix's New Series 'Variety'

On the 28th, Netflix officially confirmed the production of the new series 〈Variety〉 and announced that Son Ye-jin and Jo Yu-ri have been cast as the leads. This work will shed light on the various stories surrounding the K-pop entertainment industry, including idol groups, obsessive fans, and agency representatives.

Son Ye-jin will play the role of Se-eun, the head of the largest entertainment company in the country. Se-eun is depicted as a character who struggles to secure a re-contract with a famous idol group and makes cold-headed judgments to achieve her goals.

Jo Yu-ri will portray Seung-hee, an obsessive fan who follows the idol group and shows strong attachment.

Director Kim Yong-hoon, who directed the Netflix series 〈Mask Girl〉 and the film 〈Beasts Clawing at Straws〉, will take the helm.
