Chilean authorities have recovered six stolen luxury watches belonging to Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves and handed them over to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), according to a report by the Associated Press on the 29th (local time).

The Chilean police recovered these watches while arresting the robbers who had broken into Reeves' home in California last December. This operation was conducted in cooperation with U.S. authorities based on information provided by the FBI, which indicated that "a South American-based organization is targeting luxury residences in the U.S. for a series of robberies."

According to the Associated Press, the value of the six watches owned by Reeves, including a Rolex, is estimated by the police to be $125,000 (approximately 173 million won). The Chilean police previously announced in April that they had arrested 23 individuals related to a series of robberies in the U.S.

This announcement came at a time when Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was visiting Santiago, Chile, for discussions on drug cartel crime suppression and immigration issues. Secretary Mayorkas has also been a victim of theft by a Chilean national. In April, while dining with his family in Washington, D.C., his wallet was stolen, and the perpetrator was identified as being from Chile.
