A body was discovered in a vehicle registered under American pop singer D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke, 20), prompting local police to launch an investigation. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is conducting the investigation with the possibility of murder in mind.
On the 9th (local time), U.S. media outlets such as ABC and NBC reported that a body was found in a Tesla vehicle stored at a tow yard in Los Angeles. Police responded to a report of a foul odor coming from the vehicle and discovered a decayed body inside a bag in the front trunk (frunk) of the car.
The identity of the body has not yet been confirmed, and it is severely mutilated, making it difficult to ascertain the exact time and circumstances of death. The LA County Coroner's Office is set to conduct a detailed autopsy to determine the cause of death.
The vehicle was reportedly found abandoned on a road near Hollywood a few days before the incident and was towed. A police official stated to ABC News, "This vehicle is one of several owned by D4vd, and it appears to have been used by people around him."
D4vd's representatives stated regarding the incident, "We have been notified about the incident and are currently cooperating fully with the police investigation despite being on the 'Withered World' world tour." D4vd is a rising singer-songwriter who gained fame through TikTok, releasing hit songs like 'Romantic Homicide' and 'Here With Me'. He held his first concert in Korea last year and appeared on Mnet's 'M Countdown' in May of this year.
Meanwhile, police are reportedly investigating the connection between this case and another body found in a vehicle at a different tow yard in South LA.
Additional information regarding this incident will continue to be updated as the investigation progresses.
