So Ji-sub Confirms Appearance in SBS Drama 'Kim Manager'

Actor So Ji-sub is set to meet viewers in a special father role in a new drama.

SBS announced on the 11th that So Ji-sub will star as the lead in the new Friday-Saturday drama 〈Kim Manager〉 scheduled to air next year. So Ji-sub will challenge himself with a unique character as Manager Kim, who has a daughter.

Manager Kim appears to be an ordinary citizen on the outside, but is actually portrayed as a complex character with a hidden identity as a North Korean operative. This dual character setting is expected to add tension and intrigue to the drama.

The core story of the drama begins when Manager Kim's daughter, Min-ji, is kidnapped. So Ji-sub will portray a father who risks everything to save his daughter, showcasing large-scale action sequences in the process.

〈Kim Manager〉 is based on a popular webtoon of the same name. The direction is handled by PD Lee Seung-young, who directed 〈Wonderful World〉 and 〈Voice 2〉.
