The tvN fantasy historical drama 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉 has successfully concluded with a high viewership rating of 17.1% as a 21st-century chef falls into the Joseon era.

According to data released by Nielsen Korea on the 29th, the final episode of 〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉 aired the previous day and recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 17.1%. This is the drama's own highest record and surpasses the figure of 〈Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born〉 aired last year among tvN dramas. Additionally, it is the highest viewership rating among tvN dramas since 〈Queen of Tears〉.

The final episode began with a rebellion aimed at Lee Heon (played by Lee Chae-min) and the power grab by Je San Daegun (played by Choi Gwi-hwa). Lee Heon, who faced a life-threatening situation on his way to exile, escapes the crisis with the help of Gong-gil (played by Lee Joo-an) and the clowns, as well as Yeon Ji-young (played by Lim Yoon-a) and the palace chefs.

In the climax of the drama, Yeon Ji-young sacrifices herself to save Lee Heon by taking a sword in his place. Afterward, with the power of the mysterious book 'Mangunrok', Yeon Ji-young returns to the modern era. Working as a hotel chef in the present, Yeon Ji-young begins a new life as she meets chefs resembling the palace chefs from the past. The drama concludes with the scene of Lee Heon and Yeon Ji-young reuniting after 500 years.

〈Bon Appétit, Your Majesty〉 is a romantic comedy historical drama that combines cooking and history, adding fun by incorporating historical events with relatable food themes.
