'Annoying Love' Lee Jung-jae and Lim Ji-yeon, "Age Difference? It Was Actually More Comfortable Than Peers"

Actors Lee Jung-jae and Lim Ji-yeon revealed that they showcased a special chemistry while overcoming a 29-year age gap in the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama 'Annoying Love'.

At the wrap-up press conference held in Seoul on the 28th, Lee Jung-jae said, "Because there is an age difference, it was actually more comfortable than with peers," adding, "I think we were able to act without any pressure on each other."

'Annoying Love' is a romantic comedy created by the contrasting personalities of 55-year-old conglomerate chairman Han Tae-young (played by Lee Jung-jae) and 26-year-old secretary Jin Da-hye (played by Lim Ji-yeon).

Lim Ji-yeon shared, "At first, I was worried about the age difference, but senior Lee Jung-jae treated me comfortably first, so we were able to match our breaths naturally," and added, "While acting, I felt that age is just a number."

Lee Jung-jae explained, "Recently, there has been a trend of couples with age differences appearing in dramas," and noted, "While acting, I realized that the connection between characters is more important than age."

He also added, "Lim Ji-yeon was so professional that filming was enjoyable," and mentioned, "There is a lot to learn from younger actors."

Lim Ji-yeon remarked, "I learned a lot by watching senior Lee Jung-jae's acting up close," and said, "I was particularly impressed by his way of expressing emotions in a restrained yet deep manner."

The drama received positive reviews from viewers for its fresh portrayal of a romance that transcends generations. The production team evaluated, "The perfect chemistry between the two actors is a key factor in the success of the work."

Lee Jung-jae expressed, "I wanted to convey the message that age is just a number," and added, "I hope many people feel through this work that love has no age."
