Actress Lee Si-young expressed her overwhelming feelings as she gave birth to her second daughter after her divorce.

On the 5th, Lee Si-young shared a photo of herself holding her second daughter on her Instagram, stating, "I think of this as a gift from God to me, and I will make (first son) Jung-yoon and 'Sik-sik' (the second baby's nickname) happy for life." The newborn D-day calendar, seemingly taken right after birth, shows '2', indicating that she likely gave birth on the 4th.

Her agency, Ace Factory, also announced, "Recently, Lee Si-young gave birth to a daughter," adding, "Both the mother and child are resting well. Lee Si-young plans to continue her activities after recovering her health."

Decision to Implant Embryo After Divorce

Lee Si-young married restaurant entrepreneur Jo Seung-hyun in 2017 and gave birth to her first son the following year, but announced her divorce in March 2025 after 8 years of marriage.

Just four months after the divorce, Lee Si-young made headlines with the news of her second pregnancy last July, explaining at the time, "I was preparing for a second child through IVF during my marriage, but discussions about divorce naturally came up." She revealed that as the expiration date for the frozen embryos approached after 5 years, she made the decision to implant them herself before they would be discarded. At that time, her ex-husband opposed the pregnancy, but she emphasized, "I intend to carry the weight of this decision myself."
