Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae join forces to present a real comedy about men in their 50s.
On the 11th, MBC officially announced that Shin Ha-kyun, Oh Jung-se, and Heo Sung-tae have been cast as the leads in the new Friday-Saturday drama 〈Fifty Percent〉 (50%) set to air in the first half of next year.
〈Fifty Percent〉 is an action comedy genre work about three men who were once top-tier talents in their respective fields but have lost their prime as they reach a turning point in life, uncovering the 'secret of that day 10 years ago' hidden on the remote island of Yeongseondo.
Shin Ha-kyun plays Jeong Ho-myeong, a former elite black agent of South Korea who struggles with the weight of time and is not as he used to be.
Oh Jung-se portrays Bong Je-soon, a special operative who once served as North Korea's strongest human weapon but suffers from amnesia. Heo Sung-tae plays Kang Beom-ryong, who has fallen from being the second-in-command of the country's top organization, Hwasanpa, to an ordinary convenience store owner.
The direction is handled by Han Dong-hwa, who has produced many hit works including 〈Bad Guys〉 series and 〈38 Task Force〉, with the script written by Jang Won-seob.
