
Actors Lee Jung-jae and Lim Ji-yeon are drawing viewers' attention as they match their delightful romantic chemistry in the new tvN drama 'Annoying Love', overcoming a 18-year age gap.
On the 28th, at the press conference for 'Annoying Love', Lee Jung-jae, born in 1972, and Lim Ji-yeon, born in 1990, were asked about their age difference. Lee Jung-jae humorously responded, "There was nothing to overcome regarding the age gap. Even with such a big age difference, Lim Ji-yeon still bullied me", eliciting laughter.
The Meeting of a Sharp-Tongued Reporter and a Clumsy Actor
'Annoying Love' is a romantic comedy depicting the war of insults and growth between the national actor Lim Hyun-jun (Lee Jung-jae) and the entertainment reporter Wi Jeong-shin (Lim Ji-yeon) who is dedicated to achieving justice.


Lim Ji-yeon explained the casting background, saying, "After reading the script, I thought that Lee Jung-jae would be the best to portray the Lim Hyun-jun character in Korea, so I cautiously sent a text". She mentioned that due to their relationship in the drama, she unleashes sharp-tongued remarks at Lee Jung-jae, stating, "I feel catharsis every day in that process". In response, Lee Jung-jae joked, "Lim Ji-yeon unleashes sharp-tongued remarks at me. I'm holding back from retaliating because I worry it might ruin the atmosphere on set".
Global Star's Return to TV
Lee Jung-jae, who became a global star through the 'Squid Game' series, is also attracting attention as this marks his return to TV dramas after 5 years since 'The Advisor' in 2019. Lee Jung-jae stated, "Recent works have been quite heavy, so I wanted to do something light and cheerful this time" regarding his reason for participating.
'Doctor Cha Jeong-sook' writer Jeong Ye-rang pens and Kim Garam directs 'Annoying Love', which premiered on November 3rd and recorded a solid start with a viewership rating of 5.5%.
