The third installment of the 〈Now You See Me〉 series, which depicts the exploits of a magic con team, has begun a strong box office run in domestic theaters.
According to the integrated ticket sales network, 〈Now You See Me 3〉 attracted over 68,000 viewers on the 13th, the day after its release, achieving a revenue market share of 41.7%. This marks two consecutive days at the top of the daily box office since its release.
Returning after nine years since the previous installment, 〈Now You See Me 2〉, this sequel features series representatives such as Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, raising fans' expectations. The story revolves around a group of magicians known as the Horsemen fighting against villains.
As of 9:15 AM on the 14th, the reservation rate stands at 25.5%, with over 82,000 viewers having completed their bookings. Although it slightly trails behind the reservation rate of 〈Wicked: For Good〉 (26.2%), it is expected to draw the largest audience to theaters this weekend considering the timing of its release.
Meanwhile, the Japanese animated film 〈Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc〉 is also achieving notable success. On the 13th, over 21,000 viewers attended, bringing the cumulative audience to over 3,041,000. This figure ranks as the sixth highest among domestic releases this year and fifth in the all-time box office rankings for Japanese animated films released in Korea.
The reservation rate for 〈Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc〉 is 14.1%, with over 45,000 reservations, recording the third highest figure after 〈Now You See Me 3〉, indicating continued box office success is expected.
