Criscilla Anderson, star of the Netflix reality series 'Country Ever After', and a talented choreographer, has passed away after a 7-year battle with colon cancer. She was 45 years old.
According to family and foreign media on the 4th (local time), Criscilla peacefully closed her eyes surrounded by the love of her family on the 2nd.
Her ex-husband and country singer Coffey Anderson expressed his grief on Instagram, stating, "Criscilla was the embodiment of 'strength' and the bravest warrior in this world. Our hearts are shattered. We already miss her dearly."
◆ "I did not disappear, I just returned home"
Before leaving this world, Criscilla prepared a farewell message for her fans and acquaintances.
She said, "If you are reading this, it means I am peacefully surrounded by love in the arms of Jesus," and left a touching farewell, stating, "Do not remain in the darkness of this moment. I fought hard and loved deeply. I have not disappeared. I have just returned home."
◆ A miraculous 5 years overcoming a terminal prognosis
Criscilla's life was a continuous struggle. A glamorous dancer who performed on stage with top stars like Britney Spears, Snoop Dogg, and Rihanna, she was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer in 2018.
After a brief remission, the cancer recurred in stage 4 in 2019, and at that time, medical professionals gave her a terminal prognosis of "at most 2 years." However, Criscilla did not give up for the sake of her three children. She defied expectations and survived for an incredible 5 years, demonstrating her strong vitality.
However, in mid-November, her condition rapidly deteriorated as the cancer spread to her brain and fluid accumulated around her heart, ultimately leading to her passing.
◆ "When you see a butterfly, think of it as me"
Coffey Anderson shared the words Criscilla left for their children, adding to the sorrow. Criscilla reportedly reassured her children, saying, "When you see a butterfly, think of it as me. I will appear as a butterfly whenever you miss me."
The couple married in 2009 and had three children (Eden, Emari, Avery), and they gained much love by sharing their family's daily life through a Netflix reality show in 2020. Although a divorce lawsuit was filed in 2022, the completion of legal proceedings had not occurred before Criscilla's passing, adding to the tragedy.
