Apple Music has launched its year-end settlement service ahead of its biggest rival Spotify's 'Wrapped'. The global star of the year is South Korea's Rosé.
On December 2 (local time), Apple Music officially released 'Apple Music Replay 2025', which analyzes users' music listening habits for the year 2025. This move is seen as a step ahead of Spotify Wrapped, which is typically released in early December, indicating a desire to dominate the year-end streaming data market.
◆ Rosé 'APT.', Captivated the World
The brightest stars on the Apple Music global chart this year were Rosé and Bruno Mars. Their collaboration song 'APT.' took the top spot as the most streamed song on Apple Music in 2025, once again proving the status of K-pop.
The 'Artist of the Year 2025' selected by Apple Music is hip-hop musician Tyler, The Creator. He recorded an astonishing 4.5 billion minutes of listening time during the counting period (November 2024 - October 2025), showcasing his overwhelming fandom.
◆ "From New Discoveries to Reunions"... A Smarter Replay
'Replay 2025' has significantly enhanced its personalized storytelling features beyond simple ranking lists.
Discovery: Highlights new artists discovered and listened to for the first time this year.
Loyalty: Emphasizes the 'favorite' artists that were listened to the most frequently and consistently throughout the year.
Comebacks: Helps find artists that were forgotten for a while and are now being listened to again.
Additionally, through the monthly statistics feature, users can track how their music preferences have changed from January to December, and comparisons with the previous year's data are also possible.
◆ How to Check?
Users who want to check their music journey for 2025 can find 'Replay: Yearly Popular Songs' at the bottom of the home tab in the Apple Music app or visit the dedicated website (replay.music.apple.com). However, to use the service, Apple ID login and enabling 'Use Listening History' in settings are required.
