It has been confirmed that Psy (48, real name Park Jae-sang)'s agency, P Nation, was subjected to a police raid in connection with allegations of proxy receipt of psychoactive drugs.

On the 4th, the Seoul Seodaemun Police Station conducted a raid on Psy's agency P Nation's office and vehicles to collect evidence to substantiate the allegations.

According to major media reports including Yonhap News Agency, the police are investigating allegations that Psy received prescriptions for psychoactive drugs from a university hospital in Seoul without face-to-face consultations from 2022 to the present, and that he received them through a third party such as a manager. The drugs in question are 'Xanax' and 'Stilnox', which are psychoactive drugs used to treat sleep disorders and anxiety disorders.

Psychoactive drugs are strictly regulated due to their high potential for dependence and addiction, and face-to-face consultations and prescriptions are mandatory. The police have also placed the university hospital professor who prescribed the drugs alongside Psy under investigation as a suspect.

P Nation stated, "We have actively cooperated with the authorities' requests and will take necessary actions in accordance with legal procedures in the future." Meanwhile, Psy's side stated, "I have been diagnosed with chronic sleep disorders and am taking sleeping pills as prescribed by medical staff," adding, "There was no proxy prescription."
