The couple first met during a clothing advertisement shoot in 2014 and began their public relationship the following year, showing a consistent bond for 10 years. Notably, during the long battle with nasopharyngeal cancer that Kim Woo-bin was diagnosed with in 2017, the two reportedly became each other's strong support, building deep trust.

Meanwhile, the couple practiced meaningful sharing before their wedding. According to their agency, AM Entertainment, Kim Woo-bin and Shin Min-a donated a total of 300 million won to various social welfare organizations, including the Hallym Burn Foundation, Seoul Asan Medical Center, and Good Friends, demonstrating their commitment to sharing happiness.
