"Someone stronger than Omni-Man is coming"... 'Invincible' Season 4 casts Lee Pace as Thragg

Amazon Prime Video's adult superhero animation 'Invincible' is returning in March with the most powerful and ruthless villains ever. Actor Lee Pace, famous for his role as Ronan in Marvel's 'Guardians of the Galaxy', will voice the ultimate enemy 'Thragg'.

According to reports from Deadline and other foreign media on the 23rd (Korean time), actors Lee Pace and Matthew Rhys have been cast as major villains in 'Invincible' Season 4, which will be released in March 2026.

◆ Fear surpassing Omni-Man, 'Grand Regent Thragg'

The character 'Grand Regent Thragg', voiced by Lee Pace, is the final boss figure dominating the latter part of the original comics. As the ruler of the Viltrum Empire, he is much stronger and more brutal than Omni-Man, the father of the protagonist Mark, and is a character who obsessively clings to the ideology of the empire. Expectations are high for how Lee Pace's deep voice, which has shown overwhelming charisma in works like 'Foundation' and 'The Hobbit', will convey Thragg's intimidation.

◆ Justice or madness, 'Dinosaurus'

Joining the cast is Matthew Rhys, who will play the role of 'Dinosaurus'. True to his name, he takes the form of a dinosaur and is not just a simple monster. He is a character with a twisted belief that would not hesitate to destroy an entire city for the "greater good", presenting the protagonist Mark with complex moral dilemmas.

◆ The beginning of a more brutal war

Season 3, which aired in 2025, was filled with shocking events. The death of Rex Splode, the serious injuries of heroes, and the brutal battle against the Viltrum warrior Conquest, who invaded Earth, were depicted. Mark Grayson (voiced by Steven Yeun), who barely subdued Conquest (but is secretly imprisoned by Director Cecil), has indicated a cold change, stating, "I will no longer hesitate when facing villains," even if it means resorting to killing.

The production team has already confirmed the production of Season 5 and expressed their determination to complete the entire original comic series, which consists of 144 volumes. Additionally, the possibility of spin-offs centered around popular characters is open, suggesting that the 'Invincible Universe' will expand even further.
