
"Jeremiah was a bullfrog..." The voice that brought joy to the world has entered eternal rest. Chuck Negron, founding member and lead vocalist of the legendary rock band Three Dog Night, has passed away.
According to family and foreign media on the 3rd (Korean time), Negron closed his eyes at the age of 83 at his home in Studio City, California, surrounded by family on the 2nd local time. The cause of death was chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and heart failure, which he had suffered from for a long time.

Negron formed the band with Danny Hutton and Cory Wells in 1967, dominating the 1970s with his unique soulful four-octave range. Numerous hit songs, including the Billboard No. 1 hit 'Joy To The World', 'One', and 'Old Fashioned Love Song', were born through his voice.
◆ Hope Beyond the Nightmare
His life was not just filled with joy as the song title suggests. In the mid-1970s, he was expelled from the band due to severe heroin addiction and even lived on the streets, but miraculously succeeded in rehabilitation in 1991. He later revealed his struggles through his autobiography 『Three Dog Nightmare』, living a life dedicated to helping addicts. Notably, before his passing, the news of his dramatic reconciliation with original member Danny Hutton, with whom he had conflicts for decades, has resonated deeply with fans.
