HYBE's new challenge to continue the success myth of the global girl group 'Cat's Eye (KATSEYE)' is beginning. HYBE and Geffen Records announced that their second joint audition program 〈World Scout: The Final Piece (WORLD SCOUT: THE FINAL PIECE)〉 will premiere on the 24th at 8 PM on the Japanese OTT platform Abema (ABEMA).
This project is a journey to find the last puzzle piece of a four-member girl group aimed at the global stage. With Emily Kellabos, Lexi Levin, and Samara Siqueira, who have already proven their skills through 〈The Debut: Dream Academy〉, confirmed as the debut team, over 14,000 applicants have flocked to select just one member to join them. The protagonist born from this fierce competition will achieve the dream of debuting within the year.
The glamorous lineup of participants serving as mentors and supporters also draws attention. Artists from HYBE, including Sakura and Kazuha from Le Sserafim, and Iroha and Mocha from Ailet, will join as panelists to offer warm encouragement. Additionally, legendary Japanese idol and producer Rino Sashihara will join to add depth to the program. Sitting in the judge's seat will be Son Seong-deuk, the chief creator of HxG, who was responsible for BTS's performances, providing cold yet delicate advice to discover raw talent.
This audition is expected to once again prove the expansion of the 'K-Pop methodology' emphasized by Chairman Bang Si-hyuk. Having already made remarkable achievements, including entering the Billboard 'Hot 100' and being nominated for 'Best New Artist' at the 68th Grammy Awards, the industry's interest in the next group born through HYBE's systematic training system is heating up.
Who will be the protagonist to become the last piece of the global girl group, breaking through the 14,000 to 1 competition? The fierce process captured in 〈World Scout: The Final Piece〉 can be confirmed on Abema on the 24th.
