BTS’s flagship self-produced entertainment series, ‘Run BTS,’ is delighting fans around the world by announcing its official return after three years.

First broadcast confirmed for April 7… Upgraded to ‘Run BTS 2.0’

On the 31st, the agency BigHit Music said that BTS released a ‘Run BTS 2.0’ teaser video through its official YouTube channel the previous day, confirming the premiere of a new episode lineup. The first episode of the new series will be revealed on April 7 at 9:00 PM.

‘Run BTS,’ which debuted in 2015, has been known as ‘the gold standard of self-produced content,’ thanks to the fun and heartfelt side it showed as the members carried out various games and missions over the past decade. Since this ‘2.0’ version returns after a long hiatus, expectations are high that it will deliver even stronger laughs and tighter chemistry among the members.

The myth of 140 million views… Writing new popularity records

‘Run BTS’ already holds astonishing records. The total 155 episodes released from 2015 to 2021 achieved 140 million cumulative views on YouTube. After that, the 10 special episodes introduced in 2022–2023 also surpassed 130 million views, proving explosive popularity. In particular, the ‘Flying Yoga’ episode, in which the members took on flying yoga in 2023, recorded 30 million views with just a single video, making it one of the legendary episodes.

Anticipation mounts as ‘Run, Seokjin’ energy carries over into an all-team synergy explosion

Recently, BTS’s eldest member Jin has been quenching fans’ thirst through ‘Run, Seokjin,’ a standalone spin-off content series. In particular, his variety program features dazzling guests beyond imagination—such as Japan’s beloved national actor Matsushige Yutaka and Hollywood megastar Tom Cruise—sparkling huge attention worldwide.

After a successful spin-off, BTS—now back together again—are drawing attention to what new side they will show fans in ‘Run BTS 2.0.’ The fandom ARMY is responding enthusiastically, saying, “Finally, the Tuesday (or Sunday) fun is back,” and “It’s worth waiting three years.”
