‘Hope’ Main Poster Revealed! Watch It in Dolby Cinema, Dolby Atmos, SCREENX, and 4DX Too

The competition-section invitee of the 79th Cannes Film Festival and director Na Hong-jin’s new film 〈Hope〉 has unveiled its main poster.

The newly released main poster captures a tense moment featuring three figures armed with guns, standing against a dark forest so densely packed with trees that it’s hard to gauge its depth. The heightened alertness shown by “Beom-seok,” the head of the Hopeport Outpost on 출장 duty, and “Seong-gi,” a young man from the village, radiates an aura that keeps viewers holding their breath as they wonder what could possibly happen to them. “Seong-ae,” the policeman who calmly aims his gun with unshakable eyes, projects powerful energy and presence, raising expectations for the synergy the three characters will create. And the silhouette of an alien revealed above the three characters hints at the start of an incident whose true nature can’t be determined, further intensifying curiosity about 〈Hope〉. The dense tree forest appearing on the 〈Hope〉 main poster was filmed in the Letezat area of Romania, one of the film’s key locations. The place offers a backdrop where untouched nature and rough, vibrant life coexist, stirring anticipation for the kind of mise-en-scène that only 〈Hope〉 can deliver.

Meanwhile, 〈Hope〉 has been set for releases in special theaters including Dolby Cinema, Dolby Atmos auditoriums, SCREENX, and 4DX. In Dolby Cinema, viewers will experience unprecedented cinematic immersion through crisp, vivid colors implemented by Dolby Vision® and the rich sound of Dolby Atmos® . In Dolby Atmos auditoriums, the expectation is that immersive, space-rich sound will further heighten audience immersion. Through SCREENX and 4DX releases, the movie will present to audiences the overwhelming immersion and tension created by screens in three directions—left, right, and front.

〈Hope〉 is a story that begins when Beom-seok, the head of the Hopeport Outpost located in the Demilitarized Zone, hears from neighborhood young people that a tiger has appeared, and the entire village is put on emergency alert as it confronts an unbelievable reality. 감독 Na Hong-jin, who has drawn in audiences and film critics with an overwhelming sense of immersion, a high level of completion in its mise-en-scène, and outstanding directing, has spent a long time preparing his new film 〈Hope〉, which is scheduled to open on July 15.
