A three-year reunion amid the web of fate… 'Time Loop' brings together a winning pair for box-office and audience appeal

Lee Chae-min and Roh Yoon-seo, who stirred up fresh buzz with audiences earlier, are returning to the home-viewing scene with a fated romance after three years. On the 29th, tvN officially announced that it has finalized the casting of the two actors for its new drama 'What I Decided to Do Was Die', slated for broadcast next year.

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, the series is a 'Time Loop Romance' that depicts a man trapped in an endless cycle of time as he tries to save his beloved partner, and the fierce struggle of a woman who faces harsh fate to keep him from being lost.

In the drama, 'Lee Chae-min' plays 'Cha Kyul', the protagonist who tries to save 'Nam Ji-o' amid a vicious carousel of death and return. 'Roh Yoon-seo' takes on the role of 'Nam Ji-o', a taekwondo prospect focused on Olympic gold and a figure anchored by unbreakable determination, positioning herself at the center of the story. After previously showing the standard for a wholesome teen romance through tvN 'One-Teen Scandal' in 2023, the two are set to promise a perfect synergy after three years, with a deeper emotional arc and a lethal narrative in this new project.

Above all, the combination of the 'megaphone' and 'pen' that secures the work's completion level is overwhelming. The script was written by 'Kim Sol-ji', the writer who proved her command of craft through tvN 'Ssam, Please! Cheonri-mart' and other works. For directing, in addition to director 'Choi Jeong-gyu' of Netflix 'Dong-gung', director 'Kim Hee-won' is also jointly participating—he has helped generate a string of megahits such as tvN 'Vincenzo' and 'Queen of Tears'—and viewers can expect a visual catharsis.

In particular, 'Choi Jeong-gyu' and 'Roh Yoon-seo' are reuniting for the second time following their prior work, raising expectations for an even more refined blend of directing and acting.
