Kang Tae-oh to play Han So-hee’s affectionate husband in special appearance, teasing married-couple chemistry in The Intern

Kang Tae-oh is set to meet audiences as Han So-hee’s on-screen partner.

The film 〈The Intern〉 released stills Sept. 14 featuring actor Kang Tae-oh, who makes a special appearance. In the film, Kang Tae-oh plays Min-wook, a writer and the husband of Sun-woo, a successful company CEO played by Han So-hee. Based on the Hollywood film of the same name, 〈The Intern〉 follows the office life of Sun-woo, whose company becomes a dark horse in the fashion industry just three years after its launch, when Gi-ho, a 37-year veteran who joins as a senior intern, is hired. The story crosses generations and corporate hierarchies.

In 〈The Intern〉, Kang Tae-oh shows both Min-wook’s tender side as he quietly understands Sun-woo, who is busy every day, with a gentle gaze and his feelings as a lover who nevertheless harbors a sense of hurt toward her. “He is an exceptionally kind actor who brings positive energy to everyone on set. Even in a brief appearance, he makes a definite impression,” director Kim Do-young said. In keeping with those words, Kang Tae-oh brings to the film the subtly conflicting emotions of trust and anxiety toward the partner with whom he plans to share his future.

〈The Intern〉, featuring the married-couple chemistry of Kang Tae-oh and Han So-hee, opens Wednesday, Sept. 16.
