Woozi, the main producer and member of the group Seventeen, enlisted in the army today (15th) as an active duty soldier. His agency, Pledis Entertainment, officially announced on the 15th, "Woozi entered the army training center today and will serve as an active duty soldier after receiving basic military training." The location and time of enlistment were kept private, and the agency requested fans to refrain from visiting the site, stating, "As many soldiers and their families will attend the training center's entrance ceremony, we ask for your consideration."
On the day before his enlistment, the 14th, Woozi drew attention by cheering for the members and fans from the audience instead of the stage at the Seventeen World Tour 'NEW_' concert held at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium. With his hair cut short, he shared on the fan community Weverse, "It was the first time I saw the members and Carats (fandom name) smiling at the music I created from outside. That made me quite happy. I will gain strength before I go in. I will return healthy," conveying his heartfelt farewell.
With this enlistment, Woozi became the third member of the team to serve in the military, following Wonwoo, and another member, Hoshi, is scheduled to enlist as an active duty soldier on the 16th. The agency added, "We ask for the unwavering love and support of Carats so that Hoshi and Woozi can faithfully fulfill their military duties and return in even healthier forms."
