HYBE Latin America has announced a powerful leap onto the global stage with their localized boy group Santos Bravos. The members expressed their ambitious aspirations on the 20th through HYBE Latin America, stating, "We want to be pioneering artists who inspire the next generation to dream bigger".
Cultural Bridge Connecting Latin America and the World
Santos Bravos presented a specific vision, saying, "We aim to be a cultural bridge connecting Latin America and the world, and we hope to see audiences singing along in Spanish in massive stadiums."
Santos Bravos is a five-member multinational group formed through a reality audition program of the same name hosted by HYBE Latin America. The members include Drew (USA/Mexico), Alejandro (Peru), Kauê (Brazil), Gabi (Puerto Rico), and Kenneth (Mexico), and the cultural diversity of each country is a key element in shaping the team's identity.
"Practice Until Perfect"... The Power of K-Pop Training
The members evaluated that the K-Pop training system they experienced during the audition process played a crucial role in enhancing the team's capabilities. "The K-Pop style of practice is characterized by not missing even the smallest details. The emphasis on teamwork and the effort to practice until it is perfect, not just satisfactory, is the core of K-Pop training." Through this process, the members formed a strong bond, considering each other as brothers, and emphasized, "When we see each other on stage, we feel that we are not alone."
Sold-Out Record at First Solo Concert in Mexico City
Santos Bravos kicked off their activities by holding their first solo concert in Mexico City last month. The 10,000-seat venue recorded a complete sell-out, proving the intense interest of local fans.
Member Kauê recalled, "I was nervous but felt good," adding, "I felt a sense of responsibility representing something bigger and more important than myself" at that time.
Santos Bravos named BTS as their role model, stating, "BTS is a wonderful team that shows influence beyond music through hard work and practice," and pledged, "We will also create music that surprises people and is not cliché."
