
Canadian actor Spencer Lofranco passed away at the age of 33 on November 18 (local time) in British Columbia. His brother Santino Lofranco shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram on November 20, leading to an outpouring of grief.
Gained fame from 'Gotti' alongside John Travolta
Spencer Lofranco rose to fame in Hollywood for his role as John Gotti Jr. in the mafia film 'Gotti', which was released in 2018, alongside renowned actor John Travolta.
He also starred in the 2014 crime drama 'Jamesy Boy', receiving critical acclaim, and appeared in the war drama 'Unbroken', directed by Angelina Jolie, that same year, establishing himself as a promising actor. His first major role was in the 2013 independent romantic comedy 'At Middleton', where he starred alongside Andy Garcia.
According to a report by TMZ, the cause of death has not yet been determined, and an investigation is currently underway in British Columbia.
Worked as a street artist after leaving Hollywood
Lofranco was born on October 18, 1992, in Toronto, Canada, and studied acting at the New York Film Academy.
After filming 'Gotti' in 2018, he left Hollywood to work as a street artist, significantly changing his appearance with tattoos all over his body. His Instagram account featured several graffiti works. His last Instagram post was made on November 12, six days before his death, where he jokingly mentioned plans to laser-remove his face tattoos.
Brother Santino expressed his condolences in a tribute post, stating, "To my legendary brother. You lived a life that many dream of. You changed people's lives, and now you are with God. I will always love and miss you." Industry colleagues and fans are sending messages of tribute through social media.
