
The film 〈Project Y〉 starring Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo has confirmed its release date for January 21, 2026.
〈Project Y〉 is a crime thriller that depicts the story of Mi-sun and Do-kyung, who dream of a different tomorrow while living in the midst of a glamorous city, stealing black money and gold bars at the edge of their lives. The film is directed by Lee Hwan, with Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo starring as the top leads. In addition to a solid lineup of trusted actors like Kim Shin-rok, Jeong Young-joo, Lee Jae-kyun, Yoo Ah, and Kim Sung-cheol, fresh and diverse casting is raising expectations.
In the poster released alongside the confirmation of the release date, Han So-hee, dressed in a glamorous fur jacket, runs as Mi-sun, revealing a precarious situation with the line, "If things go wrong, we could really die." Jeon Jong-seo exudes charisma as Do-kyung with the line, "If you're going to live life, live it to the fullest."
The film first premiered in the 'Special Presentation' section of the 50th Toronto International Film Festival, followed by an official invitation to the 30th Busan International Film Festival and winning the Best Film Award at the 10th London Asian Film Festival, gaining worldwide attention through various domestic and international film festivals. 〈Project Y〉 is set to be released in theaters on January 21, 2026.
