Kim Seon-ho Apologizes for Family Corporation Tax Evasion Allegations, "Additional Tax Payment... I Was Ignorant"

Actor Kim Seon-ho, who denied allegations of tax evasion through a family corporation, bowed his head two days later. Contrary to his first explanation that it was a "corporation for theater," he admitted to receiving settlement amounts through the corporation and made additional tax payments.

Kim Seon-ho's agency, Fantagio, released an official statement on the 4th, stating, "Kim Seon-ho received settlement amounts through the corporation from his previous agency until he established the corporation in January 2024 and signed an exclusive contract with Fantagio in February 2025."

The agency explained, "Kim Seon-ho took proactive measures to correct his ignorance about operating the corporation, returning all corporate card statements used in the past, salaries paid to family members, and vehicles registered under the corporation." They also added, "Regarding the amounts settled through the corporation from the previous agency, he has fully paid the personal income tax in addition to the corporate tax already paid, and is currently in the process of closing the corporation."

Earlier, when allegations arose that the family corporation, registered at his home address, was used as a means of tax evasion, Kim Seon-ho explained that he established the corporation for theater-related business. However, as it was revealed that he temporarily received income through the corporation during his time with the previous agency, he made an additional explanation.

Fantagio emphasized, "Kim Seon-ho recognized that the operation of the corporation could lead to misunderstandings and has ceased its activities. There have been no substantial activities through the corporation for over a year now."

The agency also clarified the contractual relationship with Kim Seon-ho. Fantagio stated, "Since signing the exclusive contract in February 2025, we have been directly paying settlement amounts to Kim Seon-ho, and the contract and activities between Fantagio and Kim Seon-ho are entirely unrelated to the corporation."

Additionally, Kim Seon-ho acknowledged his lack of understanding regarding the operation of the corporation and expressed his apologies. Fantagio conveyed, "Kim Seon-ho deeply reflects on establishing the corporation and maintaining it for about a year without sufficient knowledge about its operation, and he sincerely apologizes."
