An icon of American soap operas and the villainess Erica Kane from All My Children, Susan Lucci (79) has returned with a book that captures the most challenging moments of her life.
According to 'People' on the 4th (Korean time), Susan Lucci officially published her second memoir 'La Lucci' on the 3rd. This is her first new work in 15 years since the bestseller 'All My Life' in 2011.
◆ A Record of Loss and Survival
In this book, Lucci candidly shares her feelings of loss after saying goodbye to her husband Helmut Huber, with whom she was married for 52 years, and the life-threatening heart disease that struck her around the same time. She experienced a situation known as the 'widow-maker', where 90% of her main arteries were blocked. Although she trusted her mother's genes, who lived to 104, it was the calcium accumulation genes from her father's side that were the cause. Lucci emphasized on talk shows like 'Good Morning America', "Women always put themselves last. It's time to listen to my body's signals."

◆ A Return to 'Pine Valley'?
Fans are also focused on her potential return to acting. Currently, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, her co-stars from All My Children, are developing a film version of the drama through the Lifetime channel. Lucci made it clear in an interview that she would be happy to participate if they lead the project, expressing her desire to return as the legendary character 'Erica Kane'.
