NewJeans All 5 Members Return to Ador, One Year After Contract Termination Declaration

It was confirmed on the 12th that all five members of the girl group NewJeans are returning to their agency Ador one year after declaring the termination of their exclusive contract last November.

Ador announced through an official press release that members Haerin and Hyein have decided to continue their activities with Ador after discussions with the agency. The agency stated that the two members, after careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with Ador, decided to respect the court's ruling and comply with the exclusive contract.

The members of NewJeans demanded the return of former representative Min Hee-jin, who was dismissed during the conflict with HYBE, but when this was not accepted, they claimed contract termination due to Ador's breach of the exclusive contract last November. In response, Ador filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract in December of the same year and also filed a request for a preliminary injunction to prevent the members' independent activities. The court has ruled in favor of Ador in both the injunction and the first trial.

About 2 hours and 30 minutes after Ador's announcement of Haerin and Hyein's return, the remaining three members, Minji, Hani, and Danielle, also expressed their intent to return. The three members announced through Yonhap News that they decided to return to Ador after careful discussions. They stated, "One member was in Antarctica, which delayed the communication, and since there was no response from Ador, we are informing separately," and added, "We will come back with sincere music and performances in the future."

Ador stated that they are confirming the intentions of the three members, Minji, Hani, and Danielle, regarding their return. The agency expressed that they will do their best to ensure that Haerin and Hyein can continue their entertainment activities smoothly and requested fans to refrain from speculation about the members with warm support.

With this full return, the legal dispute between NewJeans and Ador, which has lasted for about a year, is expected to enter a new phase.
