(Seoul=Yonhap News) Reporter Hong Hae-in = Min Hee-jin, former Ador CEO, is appearing as a witness in a lawsuit regarding the claim for stock sale proceeds and confirmation of contract termination between shareholders against HYBE at the Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 11th.

Min Hee-jin, former Ador CEO, appeared as a witness in the damages lawsuit between Ador and Shin Woo-seok, director of Dolphin Kidnapping Group, and strongly criticized Ador's claims.

On the 11th, at the third hearing held at the Seoul Central District Court, former CEO Min appeared as a witness for director Shin Woo-seok. This is Min's court appearance two months after the stock sale proceeds lawsuit against HYBE in September.

"I used that expression because it doesn't make logical sense"

Former CEO Min testified that the director's cut of NewJeans' 'ETA' music video was posted separately on the Dolphin Kidnapping Group's YouTube channel with "verbal prior consent".

In particular, regarding the claim from Ador that "uploading the director's cut reduces Ador's YouTube revenue", she strongly criticized it as "a foolish and absurd claim" and received a warning from the court. When the court requested her to refrain from such expressions, former CEO Min explained, "I don't understand how there could be any damage since the music revenue goes to Ador regardless of which channel it is uploaded on. I apologize for using that expression, but it just doesn't make logical sense to me."

'Verbal Contract Practices' vs 'Abuse of Contract'

Former CEO Min argued that verbal agreements are a common practice in the entertainment industry, not written agreements, and countered that Ador is applying strict standards only to director Shin. She also pointed out that the claim for penalty payment despite having removed the post is absurd and an abuse of the contract.

Previously, Ador filed a 11 billion won damages lawsuit against director Shin Woo-seok in September 2024, and director Shin has counter-sued, claiming that Ador's statement has defamed his character.
