Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey shocked the public by revealing in an interview with The Telegraph on November 20 that he is currently without a home. It is reported that he has lost a fortune due to legal disputes and financial setbacks following allegations of sexual assault in 2017, and is now living in hotels and Airbnbs.

$70 Million in Assets Turned Negative

In the interview, Spacey confessed, "I am living in hotels and Airbnbs. I literally have no home".

According to Celebrity Net Worth, his net worth, which once reached $70 million, is now estimated to be minus $2 million ($-2 ext{ million})$ as of 2025. The main reasons for the loss of his wealth are legal costs and hefty fines due to contract violations.

He lost his 9,000 square foot condo in Baltimore, which he purchased for $5.65 million in 2024, to foreclosure, and the mansion was eventually sold at auction for $3.24 million. This luxurious home featured five bedrooms, a home theater, and a private sauna. Spacey had also demanded $100,000 as a condition for vacating the property, leading to legal disputes.

The biggest financial blow came when he was ordered to pay $31 million (including $36 million with interest) for breach of contract by MRC, the production company of the Netflix series 'House of Cards'. Spacey eventually reached a settlement with MRC in February 2024, but he admitted to currently being in "millions of dollars" in debt.

Acquitted but Hollywood Turns Its Back

Spacey was acquitted of all charges of sexual assault and harassment brought against him in a New York court in 2022 and a London court in 2023.

However, Hollywood still refuses to cast him in major roles, and he is currently making a living through small independent films and stage performances in Europe. Recently, he was spotted performing as a singer in a nightclub in Cyprus.

In the interview, Spacey expressed hope for a comeback, stating, "Influential figures in the industry will help me work again."
