"Larger than a Movie"... 'Percy Jackson' Season 2 Makes a Dazzling Return with 'The Sea of Monsters'

On the 11th (local time), Disney+ released episodes 1 and 2 of the original series 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians' Season 2, based on Rick Riordan's bestseller.

◆ The Poisoned Pine Tree and 'The Sea of Monsters'

Season 2 is based on the second book of the original novel 'The Sea of Monsters'. As the 'Pine Tree of Thalia' that protects the camp becomes poisoned, putting the magical barrier at risk, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) embarks on a dangerous journey to find the Golden Fleece to heal the tree and rescue his kidnapped friend Grover.

The released episode 1 'I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals' and episode 2 'Attack of the Demon Pigeon' use the original chapter titles, delighting fans. In particular, the addition of Percy's half-brother and Cyclops Tyson (Daniel Diemer) brings new conflicts and emotions to the story.

The production team has chosen 'Expansion' as the keyword for this season. It adds depth to storytelling by addressing various characters' perspectives, including Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn), in addition to Percy's viewpoint.

The visual scale has also been significantly enhanced. The thrilling Chariot Races scenes and large-scale naval battles reminiscent of sunken battleships have been praised as "much more cinematic and immersive than Season 1."
