"You are me, babe. Just give it time." The chilling prophecy thrown at Lucy (Ella Purnell) by the Ghoul (Walton Goggins) in Season 1 has become a perfect reality as of the Season 2 finale. The pure Vault dweller Lucy is no more.
On the 4th (Korean time), Amazon Prime Video's hit series 'Fallout' Season 2 concluded to critical acclaim, and lead Ella Purnell opened up about her character's drastic transformation.
◆ "From Captive to 'Old Couple', and Then to Catastrophe"
Purnell explained in an interview with local media, "Lucy in Season 2 is no longer the Ghoul's captive. The two seem like an old couple who can hardly stand each other." However, this precarious companionship shattered in Episode 5 'The Wrangler' when the Ghoul used Lucy as a bargaining chip. Without hesitation, Lucy used the 'Power Fist' to throw the Ghoul out the window, inflicting a fatal injury by impaling him on a pillar.

◆ The Collapse of Morality
Purnell analyzed this scene, stating, "The moment Lucy abandoned her intellect and caution to act solely on instinct," adding, "She wanted to repay the pain she received in kind." In fact, Lucy later in the episode showed a willingness to kill a stranger without hesitation, indicating her assimilation into the 'Ghoul's way' that she had so vehemently rejected. This signifies her complete adaptation to the Wasteland, while simultaneously losing her humanity.
Meanwhile, 'Fallout' Season 2 achieved a 97% freshness rating on Rotten Tomatoes, surpassing its predecessor in praise. Fans are now keenly watching what dangerous and ruthless actions Lucy will take in Season 3.
