
The comedy film 'Zombie Daughter', starring Jung Seok, has taken the overwhelming 1st place at the box office during its opening weekend. According to the integrated ticketing system, this work directed by Pil Gam-seong attracted a total of over 1.163 million viewers from the 1st to the 3rd, recording a revenue share of 52.4%.
'Zombie Daughter' tells the story of a father, Jung Hwan (Jung Seok), who struggles to protect his daughter Sua (Choi Yu-ri) infected with a zombie virus. Since its release on the 30th of last month, the cumulative number of viewers has reached over 1.866 million.
In 2nd place is the racing film 'F1: The Movie', starring Brad Pitt, which attracted over 384,000 viewers during the same period, recording a revenue share of 19.1%.
Following that, the animation 'King of Kings', directed by Jang Seong-ho, ranked 3rd. This work was viewed by over 137,000 people, and since its release on the 16th of last month, the cumulative number of viewers has reached over 1.014 million.
The fantasy blockbuster 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint', directed by Kim Byeong-woo, and the DreamWorks animation 'Bad Guys 2' attracted 115,000 viewers (4.4%) and 114,000 viewers (4.8%) respectively, ranking 4th and 5th.
Meanwhile, the animation 'Demon Slayer: Infinity Train', scheduled for release on the 22nd, is currently leading in advance ticket sales as of 9 AM that day. About 89,000 people have made reservations, accounting for 20.5% of the total advance sales.
'Zombie Daughter' recorded a 2nd place in advance ticket sales with about 18.7% (about 81,000 people) and is expected to continue its box office momentum for the time being. The new film 'The Devil Has Moved In', starring Lim Yoona, ranked 3rd in advance ticket sales with 12.7% (about 55,000 people).
