Lil Nas X Arrested in LA While Wearing Only Underwear... Suspected of Drug Use

Famous American rapper Lil Nas X (real name: Montero Hill, 26 years old) was arrested and charged after walking around Los Angeles (LA) wearing only underwear.

According to AP News and The New York Times (NYT), the LA Police Department responded to a report of a naked man wandering around Ventura Boulevard near Studio City around 6 AM on the 21st. Police stated that they found Lil Nas X at the scene and arrested him.

According to the police, Lil Nas X charged at the officers, causing a physical altercation. He was suspected of drug overdose and was transported to a hospital, and later moved to a jail. Authorities charged him with the misdemeanor of obstructing police officers.

A video released by entertainment media TMZ shows Lil Nas X dancing and singing while wearing underwear and white boots on the street. The video is reported to have been filmed around 4 AM on the day of the incident.

Lil Nas X gained immense popularity with his 2018 single 'Old Town Road' and was noted for his unique style that combines country music and hip-hop. 'Old Town Road' topped the Billboard 'Hot 100' chart for 19 weeks and won two Grammy Awards. In 2021, he was nominated for five Grammy categories with his debut studio album 'Montero'.

As of now, Lil Nas X's representatives have not responded to media requests for comments.
